Intoduction

My alma mater Whitworth University is building a new Engineering Building. I funded the machine lab’s directors office so I will be going to the opening ceremony April X.

The building is the PACCAR Engineering Building, and the PACCAR people are planning on bringing something really cool to the opening.

I was thinking about this and I thought I can also bring something really interesting.

In 2024 I went to Disneyland and built a Black and Red R2-D2 unit, which I named ‘Whitworth’ after my alma mater. It’s too small to be impressive enough, however, a full sized version of it would be very cool indeed. So I’m building a R2 unit in nine months.
